In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
(John 1:1-5)

LET THERE BE LIGHT

“It is in the nature of God to speak.” A.W. Tozer

In the book of Genesis and at the origin of life God spoke. The first thing that God said was, “Let there be LIGHT!”

In the gospel of John, John’s language is burdened with the language of creation. “In the beginning…ha logos” Think of Ha Logos as the name John gives Immanuel. “In the beginning God…” or “In the beginning ha logos…”

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
(John 1:14)

LIGHT LED HUMANITY TO THE MANGER

… “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His Star in the East and have come to worship Him.”
Matthew 2:2

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid.
Luke 2:9

IT IS STILL LIGHT THAT LEADS US TO JESUS

“In HIM was life, and that life was the light of men.”

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.”
John 8:12

You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Matthew 5:14

You are God’s provision of light to lead people to the manger.

It is why we say He is:

• Wonderful
• Counselor
• Prince Of Peace Mighty God
• The Light Of The World
• The Way The Truth And The Life
• The Sword Of The Spirit

HA LOGOS WAS AN OUTWARD EXPRESSION OF GOD’S DEEPEST THOUGHTS

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
John 3:16-17

BELIEF IN GOD BRINGS US TO ETERNAL LIFE

He (Ha Logos) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
Colossians 1:15

He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.
John 14:24

ETERNAL LIFE IS THE LIGHT THAT LEADS PEOPLE TO JESUS

Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.
Matthew 24:35

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.
John 5:24

If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.
John 15:7

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Ephesians 6:17

Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”
John 8:51

Jesus tells us that YOU are now the light that leads people to Jesus. Ha Logos sends you out to preach and teach from HIS Word. Take the light to the nations. Give them something to follow. Shepherds, wise men, men and women of all walks of life.
