¹⁵If you love Me, keep My commandments. ¹⁶And I will pray to the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever... ¹⁷the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

¹⁸I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

¹⁹A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live, also. ²⁰At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

²¹He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.

IF YOU LOVE ME...

Jesus commands...

• Love the Father, Son & Holy Spirit
• Love one another
• Love your enemy.
• Give to the needy without expectation of praise.
• Store up treasures in heaven.
• Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven.
• Be salt and light.
• Love your spouse... till death do we part.
• Serve God only... no divided loyalty.
• Build your house on Jesus the Rock

The Father Sends the Spirit of Truth

• You know Him.
• Our human life and body were made to house God's Spirit.
• The world cannot understand Him.
• The depth of intimacy increases.
• The Spirit is a permanent resident.

I Will Not Leave You as Orphans

In a study by the Minnesota Psychological Association, psychosocial issues of the absence of Fathers in the home are:

• Perceived abandonment... manifested by anger
• Attachment issues... manifested by an inability to form healthy attachments
• Child abuse... a higher risk of abuse
• Child obesity... father's style of leadership
• Criminal justice involvement
• Gang involvement... manifested by a search for belonging
• Mental health issues... worthlessness
• Poor school performance
• Poverty or homelessness
• Substance abuse... more likely

Jesus is basically saying...

• Love the Father! Love me and get to know the Holy Spirit.
• We will love you in return.
• I will show myself to those who love Me.
