This message from Pastor Johnny Diaz was delivered on the tenth anniversary of the attacks on New York City’s Twin Towers on September 11th, 2001.
The cultural setting of the story of the lost son is vital to understand the reaction of the people Jesus is talking to, and how they were hearing the message that he was trying to convey.
Just before Jesus ascended to Heaven, He told the apostles to go to every part of the world and tell people about Him, making disciples.
Pastor Steve O’Brien looks at I Corinthians:4 and Genesis:4 as he shares some pastoral thoughts about being in the service of God.
Have you read the book of Acts, where it says that the apostles were together in the upper room and they were in one accord, which means in unison, or agreement?
BECAUSE GOD SAID TO GO TO CHURCH! ” Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
HELL WILL NOT OVERCOME THE CHURCH…HER STRENGTH IS IN HER BUILDER. “…and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” Matthew 16:18 It is in the Church that we find identity.
JESUS IS THE BUILDER OF THE CHURCH. 18 “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church…”
