John speaks of an amazing love.  What makes the lavish gift really so amazing?

God is up to something big in our future life and the full transformation is not yet realized.  If you want to make future plans, plan for this:  We shall be “like him” when we see him.

Our world says, “You’re crazy! You’re not going to change.  This is all there is.  You’re not related to God in any better way than we are.”

How do you anticipate this lavish gift?

Pastor Steve’s message today is about a day in our future that will change all that we now know. You see, we have secrets now. On that day all the secrets of humanity will be exposed. We may see injustice now (things that seem unfair). But on that day justice will be the theme. We have opinions about God and man. But on that day every idle, meaningless and hurtful word and its intent will be brought to light. Every evil desire, every unrighteous grudge, every rationalized attitude… (everything!!!) will all be exposed. Many people who think they are righteous will be surprised that day. True humility and submission to God will be celebrated, while the cloud of confidence surrounding our own righteousness will disapate, revealing the pride that erroneously propped up that belief.

We have so many questions now. On that day, every question that needs an answer will be revealed.

To those who have followed the deceitful prostitute who has lured many away from faith,it will be a day of destruction and judgement.

To those who have endured persecution and stayed true to the message given by Jesus Christ, it will be a day of celebration. It is the church’s wedding day.
