Wow! As we celebrate four years, I guess it’s somewhat apropos that, as the very first Christian podcast not based on repurposed church sermons, we have one of the fellows who was at ground zero of the beginning of Jesus Music…the precursor of Contemporary Christian Music.
Chuck Girard was one of the founding members of the group, Love Song, which first started singing at Calvary Chapel Bible studies in Costa Mesa, California. This was at the very beginning of the Jesus People movement, which began at Calvary Chapel.
Even before this time, however, Chuck was there during the early days of rock ‘n’ roll, recording with several bands, including The Castells and The Hondells.
This interview is full of music clips and several full songs that you are sure to enjoy.
I got to sit down with one of the producers of the movie “Expelled”, John Sullivan.

Support Academic Freedom
Across America, the freedom of scientists, teachers, and students to question Darwin is coming under increasing attack by self-appointed defenders of the theory of evolution who are waging a campaign to demonize and silence anyone who disagrees with them.
You can help by signing the Academic Freedom Petition and stand up for free speech and free scientific inquiry.
If you agree with this statement please click here to join other Americans in supporting academic freedom. Petitions will be delivered to appropriate state and federal education officials and departments.
Host Steve Webb talks with Christian singer/songwriter Scott Wesley Brown about America, the seriousness of our time, and Scott’s song, “When America Is Not America Anymore”, after which we play the song.
There are two versions of the video here. First is the shortened version, which is just under ten minutes, and then the “unedited” twenty-four minute conversation.

Kenny Metcalf Check out the videos of this interview at Lifespring.TV!
My guest today is Kenny Metcalf, who introduced the guys in the group, Stryper, to Jesus…before there was a Stryper. He went on to become Stryper’s keyboard player, touring with them all around the United States.
In today’s interview, Kenny talks about some of his experiences with the group, and then tells us how his life and the Old Testament’s Job have some amazing parallels. He tells of the healing power of God, and how we can have faith, even in the midst of terrible hardships.
